Deacon Scott Pearhill was ordained to the diaconate in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Boise in October, 2011 and was assigned to Holy Spirit Catholic Community in Pocatello and Chubbuck where he continues to serve as deacon. In 2021 Deacon Scott became the parish Pastoral Asscociate for Administration and currently serves as president of the Portneuf Valley Interfaith Fellowship (PVIF).
Previously, Deacon Scott served the Catholic community in Pocatello and Chubbuck as a lay pastoral associate from 2000-2006 and as parish volunteer minister from 2006 to 2011.
He received a Master's degree in Pastoral Studies (applied theology) from Loyola University, New Orleans in 1999, and a Doctorate in Ministry (D.Min) in 2019 from Mt. Angel Abbey and Seminary in Mt. Angel, Oregon. He completed the Diocese of Boise Servant School training in 2011 as part of his diaconate formation and has more than 28 years of pastoral ministry experience.
Deacon Scott and Marcy were married in 1992 and have two sons, Gabriel and Robert. They celebrated 30 years of marriage on August 15th, 2022.
